Tips for getting the most from your Pyrex containers

Before you start to cook the meal- evaluate if it can be a "one pot" meal. If so perfect candidate for your pyrex bake ware. Mix, bake, serve, then store the leftovers. Makes clean up super easy.

If you have something that just came out of the oven or microwave and is hot- cool it at room temp before placing into the refrigerator or freezer. When you minimize the cold-hot extremes it makes your glass storage containers less likely to break.

If you need to bake or store chili or spaghetti, I recommend glass because it will not absorb the odors or color. Nothing more gross then opening up a "clean" plastic container to store your fruit salad in to find it smells like onion and chili.
