Avoiding costly freezer burn is as simple as using the right container. Few things are more frustrating then getting ready to cook dinner, reaching into the freezer, opening up a food container only to find it full of ice crystals and full of freezer burned food.

Only buy quality glass freezer containers that are moisture/vapor proof, with good sealing lids. It may cost you a little more up front than using other cheaper products; but investing in products to preserve food so you do not have to throw it away later is worth it in the end.
