started this website in 2009 in an effort to promote the use of glass storage
containers. Why...Who cares...Who even thinks about this stuff...
For several reasons, the first is the environmental impact from
manufacturing all the plastic containers that seem to be used once or twice and
then end up in our landfills and will be there for generations and generations.
Second is our dependence on oil to produce the plastic containers. The third
reason is the chemicals that can leach out of the plastic into the food.
My hope is that this website makes it easier for people who want
to use glass storage containers. The goal is to keep a comprehensive list of
companies who manufacture and sell the containers as well as where to purchase
them.
